儀器最大的特點是目視測量與自動測量二用，即：將目視觀察測量和光電檢測自動測量組合在一臺儀器上。這樣，既有光電檢測自動測量功能方便用戶的使用；又可目視測量物質(zhì)熔點，以適應(yīng)深顏色樣品的熔點測量的需要。所以，該儀器測量樣品范圍非常廣泛，使用也非常方便。

該儀器可以同時測量三個樣品，大屏幕觸摸屏顯示、鍵入，具有RS232串口和USB接口。
